Winter is a terrible season, especially for runners. It’s not only with their rugs, coughs and similar life-threatening illnesses, but also the dark without reflective vest. Some runners are even convinced that they are not running in the winter. But are they real runners? Leave this question for the moment without answer. Winter also forces us to dress properly. The more we dress, the more we keep the clothes in motion, the harder it is. It will make it more pleasurable if we can put on something that will protect us from the weather and at the same time will not hamper our stellar performance.
The Japanese brand Mizuno has been on the market for running trains for some time now. She has made some new releases this season. And the jacket selected in our user test is certainly among the good bits. Combines a wind-resistant squeegee with an insulating lining with lightweight ventilation is mesh and a basic functional fabric. In the right places, it protects and heats, while at other places it ventilates or drains sweat and does not let it cool down.
Not using the latest Breath Thermo technology would be a mistake the manufacturer did not do. A patented fabric that, in a vague way, can extract water vapor, but leave you warm, you can also find it in this jacket. The jacket is created by the sophisticated connection of several different panels of different properties. The whole front and top half of the raglan sleeves are windproof. The underside of sleeves and armpits has a mesh structure for easier ventilation. The backs have blades covered against the wind, the middle part and the lower half of the back then forms a functional texture with a smooth texture.
The jacket is dressed over the head; it has a quality three-quarter zip with a whole length and under the chin to prevent any unpleasant contact. On the right shoulder is a small zipper pocket, which you can store keys or other small items before your run. On the left shoulder and on the back you will find a reflective logo of the manufacturer. The other two reflective elements are on the side and under the zipper (only visible when the zip is open). But most will be the end of the right sleeve. He is littered with small reflective diamonds at the top of a width of about twenty inches.
The sleeves are finished with a simple rim and straight-to-inches. Tacking the thumbs through these holes prevents the sleeves from rising and also contributes to the warming of the palms. With my right sleeve, I had a little problem: I was constantly twisting my thumb with the hole on the other side while dressing. It can have two explanations – either by hands or by shearing.
The jacket is well-balanced material. It protects well against winter weather, but at the same time the runner does not overheat and delivers excess moisture. At the same time you can see it well on the road in the dark. In addition to the reflective sleeve, you have another four reflective elements with your jacket. It’s lightweight and sturdy.
